Blood Angels Rhino

The Warhammer 40k models roll on. My first tank in red, with my other sporting a Death Company paint scheme. This Blood Angels Rhino has seen better days. It was a funny feeling painting this first, like it just rolled off the assembly line, to just turn the messy brush on it to make it look weathered and damaged. More Pictures if you...

Blood Angels Sanguinary Guard

Blood Angels Sanguinary Guard

They're here! The Sanguinary Guard is the #1 reason that I chose to start a Blood Angels army. After being scared to paint them, because I didn't trust my painting abilities, here they are. Classic paint style, only real difference would be that I gave them the gold top on the wings. My first figures with some creativity on the bases; I went with a red brick look. More pictures ahead!

Blood Angels Assault Squad

Blood Angels Assault Squad paint

Here come the assault marines, the grunts of my Blood Angels army. I have painted about ten of these guys so far, but only took pictures of the last five because the first five were a disaster. Oddly enough, my assault marines have been the only red in my Blood Angels so far. This needs to change, because red is a great color to paint with. More pictures ahead..

Sword Art Online Season 1

Sword Art Online world

I know Sword Art Online is not the first anime to take place in an MMO, but its the first one I have watched. I have loved MMO's since my days back in Ultima Online, and to have an anime which takes place in that universe is perfect for me. SAO has had my interest from the beginning, and with season one over, it never disappointed.

Lemartes, Guardian of the Lost

Lemartes, Guardian of the Lost paint

Warhammer pics! I have been wanting to take some pictures of my latest miniatures for a long while, but never got around to it. Lemartes, Guardian of the Lost, is the guy that will be escorting my Death Company. I always liked this miniature, and was very intimidated about painting him, because it meant a lot to me that he came out looking good. More pictures if you...

My DayZ Experience

I began trying to write a short story based on my experience in DayZ, but was having a tough time putting something down that sat well with me. Because I was determined to make that post, and never was able to, I have not posted in a while. I figure I can scrap that Idea and just make due with a review.

My 7 Days of Tera

En Masse Entertainment has finally released a 7 day demo for their new MMO. Tera has intrigued me since I first heard about it because it boasted an action oriented combat system, supposedly unlike anything seen in an MMO. My seven day trial is over, and I have a decision to make.

Permanent Death in an MMORPG

I've been watching the new anime "Sword Art Online" and it has me thinking about why more MMORPG's don't use permanent death as a feature, or even just an option. I know there must be a crowd out there who would play something like this. But maybe even the people who think they want a game like this, would quickly get frustrated and quit?

After All This Time

This blog has been neglected for too long. It's been more than two months since Diablo III's release, and i'm ready to spill my guts on what has probably been Blizzards worst game release since..well, maybe ever?

Diablos Eve

Diablo III installer, pre-release
The installer in action!

I step outside to walk my dogs tonight, and the dark sky is filled with clouds lit in amber, the light on the balcony flickers ominously. A sign of course that the gates of hell are about to open.

My Introduction to Clay

I have started messing around with polymer clay, thinking it was possibly the next step as a creative outlet for my modeling hobby. My first project is Samus Aran from the Metroid series. It was between her and Tyrael from Diablo, and I thought he may be a bit ambitious for a first project. Here is a left leg, which is still a work in progress. Its a start!

Death Company Jump Pack Squad

Blood Angels Death Company Jump Pack Squad

The Death Company were a large part of why I picked the blood angels as my first Warhammer 40k army. The black armor with red accents is one of my favorite color combinations out there, and they have some awesome fluff behind them. The tragic tale of warriors who know they are about to fight their last battle, and have no greater desire than to die in a sea of blood and a flurry of gunfire.

Blood Angels, Death Company Razorback

Blood Angels Death Company Razorback

I had the idea a while back to use a Razorback to transport my 5 man Death Company squad. The pictures I had seen of Death Company Rhinos were awe inspiring in some cases, so i figured, why not try to do something like that with a Razorback?

Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood Marathon Complete

For the past five days I have set aside everything but work, absorbed in Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. The marathon is finally finished and before I peel myself away from my computer monitor, I will lay this affair to rest with my thoughts.

Kids on the Slope Early Impression

The Director of Cowboy Bebop, Shinichirō Watanabe has returned with another jazz filled anime, Kids on the Slope. While not many shows can even be mentioned in the same sentence as Cowboy Bebop, Kids on the Slope has a lot of potential.

R.I.P. Demon's Souls

RIP Demon's Souls

With the news that servers will be coming down on From Sofwares Demon's Souls, I wanted to pay my respects. As a gamer it is truly something to celebrate when a company releases a title that can be called unique. Demon's souls represents a milestone in video gaming history. In an age where we as gamers are spoiled by new generation games that guide us through rich stories, and beautiful graphics, without much difficulty. Demon's Souls shows us that dying can be a lot of fun.

Blood Angels Sanguinary Priest

Blood Angels Sanguinary Priest with wings

About 6 months ago I decided to try my hand at painting Warhammer 40k models as a creative outlet. Its been a fun hobby so far, although its been a slow process. At 6 months I barely have enough of my blood angels painted to put together a 500 point army. Fact of the matter is, not only am I a slow painter, but it normally takes a back seat to video games and anime (all of that takes a back seat to my fiance, and work). So I have not even gotten as far as playing the game itself, sadly.

Tales of Graces f Review

I'm fairly new to the tales series, however it has quickly become one of my favorite. This being only my second game behind Vesperia,  "Tales of Graces f" was a game I was greatly anticipating from the time they announced its US release back in December. I made the gamble to pick it up over Mass Effect 3, and though I cant speak for Mass Effect 3 as a game yet, I am not disappointed in my decision.
At last I have acquired the motivation to start a blog. I have been wanting to do this for quite some time to chronicle the different things that I find enjoyable. My hope is that some day in the future I can look back on these posts and remember a specific time of my life and smile, or maybe wonder what was wrong with me.

So, this is the first post, with many more to come I think!
